Is your garage door beyond repair? Use the 8-40 rule!
If your garage door is 8+ years old, follow these steps: 1. Find out how much it would cost to replace your door with an equivalent model. 2. Multiply the replacement price by 40%.
(This percent decreases as the age of your garage door increases. Refer to graph for percentage). 3. Compare this amount to the cost of your repair. If the repair cost is greater, opt for a replacement. If it’s less, choose a repair.
