Alex did an amazing and awesome job on replacing our old garage door opener, which had a chain that was failing. We very much appreciate him being very honest, helpful, thorough and polite, regarding the situation with our old garage. He recommended the best parts and proper equipment for this successful replacement of our old garage door opener system, for a garage that was not ever actually designed to have such features. He was a pleasure to have here today and we highly recommend his work and he really should get a big pay raise for the work that he does for your company.Please let him know that our van has plenty of clearance to fit under the garage door in it’s top position.Thank you for sending him here to do the work today! I recently responded to a radio commercial for a garage door tune up and Joel S from A1 Garage Door Service came out to my house in Woodhaven today. From the moment he arrived, I felt I had made a good decision in calling A1.Joel called me from the road to confirm his arrival time, he arrived in a clean, well-marked van, he was very friendly, personable, professional, and quickly made me feel he was very well-equipped to examine my door & opener and give me an objective report on their condition.He asked several questions about my current garage door, whether I was having any problems with it, or if I had any specific concerns about how things were operating.He carefully listened to my responses and explained what his inspection was going to cover, and then carefully explained what he found.There was at least one cracked hinge, all of the rollers were noisy and in need of lubrication, the bottom rubber seal needed to be replaced, and a few other issues that could pose future problems were pointed out.Joel also commented on several other items, like the springs which I had replaced a few years ago, telling me they were still good shape and that he would readjust the way the door was opening and closing.I’ve also been experiencing some issues with my current automatic door opener (which is quite old) and I inquired about replacement options. I wanted to explore more recent technology like Wi-Fi connectivity and smartphone app use.Joel was able to show me the three models his company carries and offered suggestions on which would best meet my needs. Even though I hadn’t planned on replacing my existing opener today, the explanations I received, along with the payment options and discounts currently available, made a compelling case for doing so. In the end, I decided to replace my old opener with a new model and have it installed today.I was happy to learn that all the A1 installers/service technicians are completely stocked with everything they might need in their vans, so Joel was able to complete my new opener installation with no need for a second visit.We covered all the payment/financing options very easily and thoroughly, and I was approved for my chosen payment plan in a matter of minutes.Once Joel began the actual work of replacing parts on the old door, removing the old opener, and installing the new one… he handled everything quickly, efficiently, and skillfully. He very obviously knew what he was doing and explained things to me as he worked.When the installation was done, he took time to clearly explain everything I needed to know about the new system, the new remotes, and new keypad. He also walked me through the process of setting the smartphone app and showed me how to use it.Throughout the entire process, he was very courteous, easy to understand, and made sure I was comfortable with all the new features of my system. He also carefully cleaned up & removed all the old parts and packing materials from the new unit.When working with contractors at my home, I very much try to get to know them and develop a good customer relationship that will last, especially with items like this which may require future service or maintenance.Even though this was my first experience with A1 Garage Door Service, I’m very pleased and impressed with how everything turned out. Right from my initial phone call to set up the inspection appointment, the courtesy and efficiency of the company representatives I encountered was truly exceptional. To discover this kind of company culture by simply responding to a radio commercial is remarkable.Based on my experience today, I will most certainly recommend A1 Garage Door Service and technicians like Joel S to my friends and family. AFTER INSTALL UPDATE-I love my new garage door!! Thank you A1.Words cannot express how impressed I am with every aspect of my garage door replacement. When Tyler K arrived at my house by himself to remove my old door and install the new one, I was skeptical. The old door was a one piece that was non functioning and had been stuck in place for 7+ years. Somehow, he found a way to get it out, load it on the truck and install the new one to perfection without any assistance. He is a master at installing garage doors!!Do not hesitate in putting your trust in this company. The pic below does not do the door justice.________Everyone I have dealt with at A1 has been enjoyable to work with and knowledgeable about the products, which made the process as easy as possible. Shortly after I narrowed down the doors I liked best, Justin had mock ups done and ready to help me make a decision. Greg was the best service man I've ever met and dealt with and left a 100% positive experience and reflection on the company. The service was more than expected. Ryan is very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. I entrusted him to have the door serviced as he explained well and suggested to replace not only broken spring but others parts for a longer service life before processing. What I expected to be a basic garage door tune up turned into an amazing educational experience. Kyle Brown Showed up to my house to repair my garage door that had failed late at night. Conner arrived & was very polite & professional. He came in like a gang buster & handled his business. Matthew was prompt and polite. He took the time to explain everything to us. He listened to our description of the problem. I placed a work order because my opener control was working intermittently. That problem was taken care of. Additionally, during a test it detected the springs that aid with the retraction of the garage door were worn. It was suggested that. I have the springs replaced. I had the springs replaced and the garage door was tested upon completion and everything checked ok. The technicians performed a great job. Very experienced and professional. I would recommend A1 to anyone having garage door problems. Excellent work.

Zach from A1 has come out for an inspection. My wife and I just bought the house and decided an early inspection was the best way to stay ahead of future problems.Zach was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was happy to explain everything he was doing and why. Who knew that the door opener doesn't actually pull the door open? I didn't! Ended up having to replace door rollers and the opener springs. All other bits and pieces were inspected, adjusted and lubricated as needed.Everything was done quickly and on the spot without a need for another call, with multiple price options presented. There is a night and day difference after the repairs and the 1970s Sears opener gets to keep living its long life!Would 100% recommend and signed up for the yearly maintenance plan. Thank you!

I’d highly recommend this garage door service I called at 3 PM on a Monday and they came out same day 6 PM to help get our trapped cars out of the garage. Robert was amazing and knowledgeable when it came to our situation and spent 3 hours trying to fix our garage so we can use the remote until we get a new door. Basically, our panel of our garage got bent things to the top notch literally flying out of the garage. He came out and made sure the garage was at least closed and was able to get our cars out and is also coming back out tomorrow afternoon to see what they could do with our garage door. We will also probably get a quote for a new garage door at this time. Thanks to the panel being bent. my garage door only had one spring which is why it popped off and made the garage door. Helter skelter so definitely check that out when you are going to buy or purchase a new garage door get two springs.$200 for emergency call out by the way! Ouch!-look for coupons online!-they offer warranty for life on their garage doors if you purchase one!
