Had a great experience with A1. They were able to fit me into the schedule next day and communicated well, even sending a bio of our technician ahead of their arrival. Dean was great, staying late on a Friday evening for an install. He was patient with all of my questions and very thorough with his work. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Dean or the A1 team back.

I have a ancient (circa 1970's) wood door and overhead motor that has all kinds of challenges. Charles Crnkovich took his time, in explaining, very thoroughly all the options ahead of me. Very smooth process and all around solid company. He was to the point, allowed me to make the decisions on products, higher vs lower and was overall very polite and respectful. I’d recommend these guys in a skinny second!!The installer, David Antunez did a KILLER job installing my garage door. He went the extra mile to help make the job perfect 🫶🏻 he ROCKS!!

Our garage door stopped working and we couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I called A1 and they came out same day and fixed it. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. I don’t know how their price compares to others but great service. Conner was really helpful and went above and beyond to get our garage fixed even though it was another company that installed the motor initially.

Dean went way above-and-beyond providing exceptional customer service and shared his suggestions from years of experience on how to properly maintain our garage doors. We are extremely impressed and will only be hiring and recommending A1 Garage Door Service going forward. We so appreciate everything Dean did from replacing the garage door rollers, to programming our phones to act as additional garage remotes to even taking the time to properly set the clocks on our system. Daniel was great. He arrived on time. Looked over the door and it’s issue, gave me a quote and fixed the door all in one afternoon. I expected him to send the information back to the office and have them schedule an appointment in the future like other companies have done. I was very happy when he fixed it right then and there and at the price he originally quoted me. I have two doors again!

From the first call, I knew i made the right choice selecting A1 Garage. I was greeted by a friendly and professional operator on the first call, and my garage door was repaired the very next morning. Several notifications verified my appointment and thanked me for being a customer. I later received a message from the technician introducing himself with a snapshot bio and picture. At 7:30 am Bryan H. from A1 Garage called me to say he was en route. 8 am, he’s repairing my garage door. Bryan was an effective listener to my situation and he discussed with me my options. Bryan was efficient with my repair and I am absolutely 100% impressed with this company’s customer service from start to finish. Daniel was awesome. Right from his communication to his proposal for the work to be done.As he got more not the job he found there were some additional parts that needed replacing. He documented the process and continued to complete the job.He did an excellent job from start to finish. Making sure to leave the space even cleaner than when he started. Bryan was a great representative and technician who did inspection on my garage door. Troy was very professional. He worked quickly and efficiently to get my garage door that had crashed down and secured. Got the new door ordered without hassle! Highly recommend!Daniel came out 2 weeks later and installed the new door and opener. He was friendly and professional. He worked quickly and got the job done in a timely manner. The new door looks amazing and is so quiet!Update: 3/16/23 my garage down wouldn't close and kept reversing and binding up. I spoke with Troy on the phone who told me how to get my door closed. I was then able to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Troy arrived promptly at 8am. He took his time and went over everything. He was able to get the door working beautifully again.

Excellent service from Troy Lawson! He was able to get our questions quickly fixed and is a very great guy. He also recommended some things we needed to get fixed as well. Also, we received great customer service from other workers such as getting a same day appointment and letting know when Troy would be at our residence. Next time we need something for our garage we are definitely calling A1 Garage Door Service again and will probably request Troy since he was so great!

I was impressed and happy with the service by A1 Garage, especially their technician Fernando. After analyzing my garage door problems he provided optional solutions. He patiently answered my questions and shared features of each option. Due to the late hour in the day I thought I would need to make another appointment for the installation however he acknowledged that he had the necessary parts to do the installation. Once completed he tested all components and stepped me thru some recommendations for future maintenance. I would recommend A1 Garage and Fernando to any prospective customer.

Showed up at my house on the same day I called after my garage door stopped working. And they took care of everything and fixed it that same day. We are very happy with our new garage door motor! It’s super quiet. Can barely hear it open even when in the garage. Fernando was very friendly and very professional. Did an amazing job. Highly recommended.

I can't begin to praise this company and their employees. From Troy Lawson who came to do the estimate (and returned on his own time to clear the garage area for installers) to Jesse and his helper who arrived on installation day as scheduled, estimated 9hrs to complete the job and did it in 7hrs! Everything was completed as stated on contract. I'm over the moon about my new garage doors -- especially that A-1 was able to find two matching doors and complete the project w/ in 3 week, when the other 3 companies gave time lines from 3 months to 9 months. Troy was on the phone to his supplier as we stood in my garage and located doors available as soon as I paid my deposit to put my name on them. Again... wonderful company and great employees. Nice to see someone still remembers that customer service is important. Thanks A-1.

We just relocated to the Portland area from Phoenix, AZ and were thrilled to find A1 Garage Door Service here to help us with our garage door needs. We used their service in Phoenix because it is 5 star service and Troy proved they are 5 star service here too! Troy was very knowledgeable and courteous. I was very impressed with the service I received from A1 garage door company. The equipment to do the entire job was on the truck. There was no sale pressure to do any more than was needed to have my door repaired and now works exceptionally well. I just wanted the company to know that my service technician, Dean March, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I have no problem recommending A1 to any one that needs this service. I also signed up for the A1 club. Not expensive amount per month for the service you receive in return.

Dean from A1 was great to work with. While garage door service typically isn’t cheap, I feel like I got a huge amount of value out of the visit. I looked at replacing my opener myself, and when I look at the quality unit he installed and all the extra tweaks and services he did along the way to get the whole system running smoothly again, on two doors, this was money well spent. Very high quality service. While I didn’t call around, I can’t imagine anybody else would’ve done As good a job for less money

Backing into your own garage door is pretty stupid. That's what I had to face when I called A1. However, the technician, Troy, was very patient with me and explained all that needed to happen to get me back to having an operable door while i waited for the new door to be installed. I appreciate all that he does. The installer, Jesse, was equally patient with me a couple of days later when I had the door replaced. Two fine examples of great employees!

Nothanyell was excellent. I had a 8 am to noon appointment window. It turned out I was his 1st appointment and he called at 7:40 to let me know when he would arrive. He was very friendly, personable, professional and did a great job installing my garage door opener. He even adjusted my springs at mo additional charge which were not properly adjusted when they were installed by different company a year ago.

A1 Garage did an excellent job responding to my urgent request to have my broken garage door spring replaced. Two other firms said they were unable to get the needed parts due to an ongoing parts storage on the industry. The representative that came to the house (Troy L) was very professional and provided a very thorough analysis of what needed to be done. Troy confirmed getting the parts from the normal suppliers was an issue, but offered up an alternative solution by offering up A1’s proprietory high end product line at a very competitive price point. Once agreed, Troy worked diligently and finished the job a couple of hours later. After completion Troy walked through a complete survey of our system and the diagnostics he had performed.All on all A1, and especially Troy did an outstanding job. My garage door opener slowly started shutting down week by week. After a month of replacing batteries, the keypad & remotes I started calling around. The first company I called never answered, sat on hold 15 min but couldn’t handle the terrible hold commentary as it sounded like blown out speakers so called A1 who was 2nd on my list. They answered after about a 15-20 min hold & was able to get me an appt within 3 days. I had a feeling we’d need to upgrade so was prepared for the sales pitch. Kyle did an amazing job explaining what was wrong & showing me why he suggested the replacements. He offered 3 different choices for each of my products & explained each one in detail, plus had an explanation for all my questions. He was prepared for any service I needed short from having a garage door with him ha!I was offered multiple choices & discounts & he didn’t try to convince me to get the most expensive product. I went middle of the road based on his suggestions. (He said I didn’t need to spend the extra money on certain products for what my setup was like) I appreciated his honest opinion & am 100% happy with the service & products! Jessie came to install our new garage door yesterday. He was absolutely wonderful! Jessie was helpful and knowledgeable, taking out the old door and installing the new one with efficiency.We had wanted a new door for awhile, but the sudden damage to the existing door when our RV backed into the door, made this install an immediate necessity for both safety and security. We were scheduled to leave in the RV the following day, and contemplated cancelling our trip due to this breech. When the first technician (Finn) came out to assess the damage and secure the door, we were told that a new door would not be available until next February due to supply chain issues. Finn was able to brace the door panels and secure them so we could go off in the motor home knowing the house was secure from unwanted entry.A few days into our vacation excursion, I received a text message and several phone messages stating a door was available and could be installed upon our return home. We had terrible WiFi and cell service at our location, and we’re unable to speak to anyone directly to schedule an installation. I was able to send a text message after repeated attempts, and let Finn know when we would be home and requested they schedule anytime after that date. The new door was in place three days after our return!When Jessie arrived, we had been unable to remove the items inside the garage door to provide him the best access. This did not faze Jessie; he helped us move the items out of the way once the door was removed.The technicians and office staff at A-1 Garage Doors are superb. I recommend their services to everyone.

Amazing service provided by the company when I called and amazing service done by the repairman Kyle. The garage door broke and did not open. I was stuck at home. Kyle fully repaired it and now it opens and closes just like new. As a matter of fact, I lived at my house for 9 years and the garage door never operated as quiet and smooth as it does now. I’m impressed and am very happy I called this company. Called them approximately 11:30 am on Sunday and had Kyle at my house by 1:45 pm doing the repairs. Thank you for doing an awesome job. Technician Conner installed a brand new lift master motor and it runs so much better than our old motor from 1994. Much more quiet. Very efficient and pricing was great. Cleaned up afterwards and hauled away old materials. I will never use another garage door company besides A1 Garage Door Service.

The technician, Conner, who installed my garage door opener was a quality guy. I was texted shortly before his arrival to let me know he was on his way and it included his photo and a brief profile. He was on time, friendly, and he wore a mask even though we were both vaccinated, which was thoughtful. He laid out boxes in the garage to give me options and explained what he was going to do and how long it would take. He completed the work in a very professional manner. Such wonderful people here. A suddenly broken garage door spring is a nightmare but who knew finding a reputable person to fix it would be even more frustrating!! We called around to several garage door repair businesses, and the quickest response was A1- Nothanyell showed up with a great sense of humor, work ethic, personable service and did the job well, and was honest and saved me as much money as he could. Whole experience was professionally handled from start to finish. Excellent communication. Had Conner come out to do a garage door tune-up and decided while he was here to replace our very old and very noisy garage door opener. I contacted another company I totally. That company ended up taking over 2.5 hours to call me back when we got disconnected, so I called A1. I called because of the stellar ratings on Google. I am glad that the 1st company did not work out because Kyle came and fixed/replaced what was needed and saved us from the hassle of manually opening and closing our garage door, all the while being careful that it didn’t fall down with too much force.Although, the replacement was a bit more than we anticipated (it usually always is) we are super happy about the decision to scrap the late 90’s model for a new one. Kyle answered all questions, thoroughly, and put me at ease with my decision (I prob would have done it anyways though).We actually have a garage door that opens and is so quiet, it’s amazing. We have a new keypad that works and springs and fittings that will not cause the door to fall down. We are super happy. Thank you Kyle!!!

Friday, at about 3:45 pm I backed into my garage door when it abruptly stopped opening, and the shadows on the door made it difficult to tell it was unopened. As a result, I bent the track on the left and pulled a roller off the track, on the right. The door opened all the way at that point, but could not shut. We live in a great neighborhood in Ridgefield, but still have items that we don't want vulnerable to mischief makers and thieves. My first call I was able to.make an appointment for Monday of the coming week. That felt uncomfortable. I confirmed the appointment, with a caveat to cancel if I could arrange a sooner service call.I then called A-1 and was able to schedule an emergency appointment. Dean was out in nearly 1.5 hours and completed both the repair of the track and replacement of the worn and failing rollers, not only on my car door, but the loudly complaining rollers on my husband's side of the garage as well. In the time Dean was here, he appraised the good and needy parts of our doors, clearly and courteously explained what needed to be done and different levels of service available. He came with a mask on to protect our health. Dean worked professionally, communicated explicitly and made me confident I had made a great choice. 👍

Our garage doors and openers were about 30 years old and were not functioning well at all. I called and Kyle came out and repaired a broken spring and gave me information about replacing the doors. We decided to go ahead with replacing all 3 doors and openers.The day of install, they let me know they were on their way, 3 guys showed up and worked all day (one of the warmest days we’ve had this year) until the job was complete. I LOVE these doors. I feel like we moved into a new house. The openers are SO quiet compared to our old ones . The doors run smoothly. They don’t get hung up anywhere! Kyle, Rico and Troy were awesome. Polite, efficient and professional. They all 3 seemed to really enjoy their work and did an amazing job.I highly recommend this company. Like, is there even any other company that comes close?! We got the keypad entry also, which is amazing. All wires are secured and neatly placed.

Dean was very helpful and friendly and answered all my questions. I appreciated how he showed up with a mask on and kept it on covering his mouth and nose the entire time. He was very good at dealing with a tricky situation involving shelving that had been built too close to the door. Five stars and will be calling A1 for any future garage door needs.

A1 came out for an estimate when my garage door stopped working. The technician Kyle was able to come out 2 days after I called. He was informative and easy to work with. He walked me through the issues he found as well as his recommendations and discussed options for extending my old garage door openers life or replacing it. I ended up having to use a different company due to my home warranty restrictions. It's my own fault for not going that route first but I would definitely use A1 again in the future after my warranty expires.
