Recently I noticed my garage was not balanced and knowing the dangers with door springs I contacted A1. The techs were extremely courteous and very friendly, however that’s where the five star review ends. We have a David Wayne garage door (Internal Springs), which I know are greatly frowned upon by almost every garage door company. However, I was simply wanting the door to be balanced. The techs without even looking at the door immediately tried to tell me the most likely issue was one or both springs had possibly snapped and told me the best thing to do was to convert to an exterior spring set up. The issue with this assessment is the 160 pound door was only weighing 30 pounds on the scale, clearly showing the springs did not break. The crew told me the company policy dies not allow the techs to work on the springs and for the next hour, tried to talk me into a $1,200 conversion job. After respectfully refusing because they were unable to even touch my garage door, the techs tried to sell me a maintenance plan. Yes, a maintenance plan for a garage door they couldn’t even maintain other than greasing the rollers. After I again politely refused, the techs continued to try and talk me into the work they recommended. After they left and taking 15 minutes on YouTube, I was able to find a tech who walks you through the steps needed to check and balance the David Wayne springs. Ten minutes later my garage door was perfectly balanced. So my rating is for the courteous Techs, but they only get two stars because from the start they played the roll of salesman rather than being there to do a job. Sorry to the techs for this review but I am grateful that I was a first time customer and didn’t have to pay the service fee.

Matt Wilson came to fix our garage door today. He was so nice and polite not only to my Husband, Me, but to our son and Dog as well. Our garage door came off track but it is a very old garage door and everything about it is old. All in all it needs to be replaced and we knew that. Matt did not push us into buying anything new but he showed us our options and we really appreciate that. It was a great experience and not stressful to have Matt fixing our Garage door and we would recommend him to any of our friends or family.Edit: Gabriel Lutzenberger installed our new garage door and opener. He did a great job. He was a super nice guy and we are very happy with everything that he installed! He walked us through everything and what we had to do to add another door opener if we wanted to order another one.

We are very satisfied with the service Ismael Gomez provided. He arrived on time and worked efficiently the entire time. I appreciate how he not only explained in detail but SHOWED me what our garage issues were. He explained a variety of products and services A1 could offer in detail and you could tell immediately that he knows his stuff. I never felt pressured to go any specific route and was confident that we made a good choice choosing this company over the others nearby. Ismael replaced our garage opener (that has a camera!), installed a new spring, provided 2 clickers, and added a keypad. He also didn’t leave until I was all set with the MyQ app which allows you to open/close the garage door from your phone! Our garage door is SO much quieter and easier to deal with now. Yes, it was very pricey BUT I received quality products and excellent service. I highly recommend using A1 for whatever garage issues you have!

Ismael Gomez came to my house to give me an assessment of my 24 year old garage door. He was resourceful and sincere in his recommendations. We could not afford a new spring at that time. He replaced the rollers on both side of the door and offered other advice to us concerning a new door and its cost. We called this company because of the coupon mailer we received. So very fortunate that Ismael came to our house. He is informative and very kind to us. Will call A1 Garage Door Service when we can purchase the new spring. Ismael is an excellent service man and I would like HIM to respond to our call.

A1 Garage's service was SUPERB. Starting off with customer service, Brianna Saroz made me feel super comfortable and was able to help pinpoint the issue, and how to communicate to the technician. My call was answered immediately and handled very professionally. Our technician, Ismael Gomez, was wonderful! He was very respectful of our home, and was able to fix multiple issues with our door. All in all, I would 100% recommend this company to anyone in need!

Ismael was very courteous and kind. He explained my 3 options for a spring very well. He worked quickly and completed the job earlier than I thought it would take him.Excellent employee…….punctual, friendly, great manners and extremely knowledgeable about garage doors and the process of fixing and installing the necessary parts. I now have a garage door that opens without jerkiness and much quieter. Ismael went above and beyond to make me a happy customer!! 😊

Josias did a great job at fixing our garage door on the same day we called. He came across a lot of issues with our garage but was able to fix it in one visit even if it meant staying for 9 plus hours to get the job done. He was also very informative about what he was dealing with and how to fix it. I would definitely recommend looking up A1 garage if you ever have an issue with your garage door/opener.

A1 got us scheduled overnight for repairs, which was incredible as our garage door broke at 11pm on a Monday. Armand came out promptly the next morning and completely dazzled us with his five star service. Work was completed at a fair price and I can confidently say Armand went the extra mile. Companies should study his work, because he is the gold standard and our garage door is working like a charm again, in less than 12 hours. Thanks A1 and Armand. This was an A+++ job.

I was highly impressed with Ismael Gomez and the service he provided. He provided a thorough inspection of my garage door system. We went over the inspection and provided recommendations. He above and beyond the recommendations; he explained why I needed the upgrades, presented detailed explanation of all my options, and I loved how he suggested to research the differences between the old and new systems. David rice took the time to hear me out he knew how to fix a serious problem.By talking to Mr. Rice I was able to understand what goes into putting in a new garage door. We went over all the prices all the equipment and the labor. Mr. Rice explained what had to be fixed and the hazards of things to come if I didn't act now. I agreed.Everything fell into place and I am happy I made the call to A1 garage door service company this morning. I even got a quote the same day and they worked with my schedule. That was amazing.I'm looking forward to my new door garage with a camera. It's going to make my life easier and less stressful. I had an old manual garage door with no motor for many years. Our experience with A1 was excellent! Trom the moment we called, we received great customer service who were empathetic to our situation and well informed on the work that needed to be done. The on-site technician, Ismael, and his apprentice were fantastic. They presented a few solutions, giving me room to choose the one that fit our situation best without a feeling of being pushed towards an up sale. They worked efficiently and left the work area clean. I highly recommend.

Doug did an outstanding job explaining the different levels of service and support. He also worked to provide me with the best prices available.Andrew did a tremendous job repairing our garage door. He had reattach the cables, reshape the metal tracks, and insert the rollers back into the tracks.Awesome job team!!

BUYER BEWARE**Keep on shopping. Worst service you could ever imagine. Didn't even get the new garage I purchased through them installed.Do not do business with these guys. Wish I had looked on yelp before excepting their services. .Garage fell off tracks onto my truck. Previous homeowners used A1 garage service so I figured I would contract same service (really bad decision not sure what I was thinking)Installer Nathan disassembled garage door from my vehicle without any help. In doing so he put some gnarly scratches on the hood of truck. As tough as this was I let this slide because how am I going to prove it?Ordered a garage door and put $1500 down. The installer had to come out once again to make measurements (why wasn't this done last visit?!?)The installation date for garage door was set for August 10 . Day of install I get a call informing me that they ordered the wrong spring and would need to set me up for install in a month. Reset up appointment for a month later. Installer comes out, dismantled my garage door and then proceeds to tell me that he has the wrong garage door after he reassembled, broken garage door.Called the scheduler to set up appointment and they told me they didn't have anything for another two weeks . Cool I set up another appointment two weeks later. Installer was supposed to contact me by 1 PM. I didn't get a response so I contacted the appointment center at 3 PM and they told me that they would have the installer contact me. No call at 5pm so I called back and they told me he was still on another job. At 6 PM The installer contacted me and told me he was on his way. At 720 pm I get a call from the headquarters that the installer would not be coming out because they had the wrong spring once again..Few other things to mention the installer left bolt in my driveway that dug into the treads of my tires . No big deal it did not puncture my tires (e rated tires) He also left a small amount of trash in my driveway.Save yourself from time, frustration, hassle and money . Look elsewhere.. these guys are a huge scam. So much so I'm going to reach out to the bbb as well (who really has time for this)In the end I have scratches on my hood, bolt in the tire and took off 3 days of work for "installs" and still don't have the door installed.Really bad unethical business. jokes on me I suppose

I had a great experience with A1 Garage Door Service. The repair man arrived right on time, which I really appreciated. While the initial quote for replacing the garage door springs seemed a bit high, they were able to price match with another supplier, which was great. To top it off, the repair man threw in free garage door rollers and even took the time to level my garage door opener and tighten the belt, which will help prolong the life of my opener—something they didn’t even install!He was very professional, patiently answered all my questions, and didn’t rush through the job. I’m really happy with the service and would highly recommend A1 Garage Door Service to anyone needing garage door repairs.

Update: 7/17/24. Because I joined the “Worry Free” program, Henry has come out on several occasions to solve my garage door problems. Today was no exception. Henry has always done a fantastic job with great customer service.Problem solved in about 10 minutes. If I could give more than five stars, Henry would deserve them My garage door is working like a charm.December, 2023Henry H did an excellent job replacing the opener and spring on my 12-year old door in under 4 hours. He also thoroughly answered my many questions. Before he left, I was able to open the door from my Apple Watch, which is an important convenience.

A1 Garage Door Service will be my go to garage door company from this point forward without exception. Scheduling an appointment was easy, and a real person answered the phone. I received text messages confirming my appointment with a photo of my technician, and a telephone call from Armand letting me know he was on his way. Armad was an outstanding technician and exceptional communicator. He quickly identified my problem and presented several options to resolve my issues. The install was quick as they had all the materials and parts on site, so I didn’t require another appointment. He was efficient and professional on the install and went over everything once he completed the job. I could not be happier with his workmanship.

I highly recommend A1 Garage Door Services to a person like myself who unexpectedly needs a garage door repair!Our garage door unexpectedly stopped working (would not go up manually) that was installed by KB homes. After Realizing that garage door Spring was broken it was time to look for a repair company. After reading reviews on A 1 I decided to go with this company.It was Saturday morning and to no surprise, the day was booked. But to my surprise they offered to repair my garage next day Sunday at no additional cost!Sunday morning received a call from repair man James LaFontaine that his ETA was about 45 minutes.James was informative on what had happened and how it would be fixed.He offered us 3 choices on cost to repair. Our choices no pressure. After we asked his advice, he asked us if this was our forever home? We said yes, that's when he suggested number 2 or 3 because of life time warranty.We went with #3 and could payoff in 6 months No interest.As James started repairs he showed us big differences between old Springs and new Springs. He added new roller to door at no additional cost too us. He also gave us tips on how to properly matane our new Springs.James also had answers before we could ask questions!A 1 thank you for having great Knowledgeable repair men like James Lamontagne.He was awesome!Attached are pictures of after and before on size of Springs.

Trevor came all the way from Reno, Nevada to help fix an issue we were having installing a garage door. He got the job done in a very short time. He did a great job explaining the process. Amazing, just Amazing! My door was serviced by Henry Hauk. If you are reading this and wondering where to get your garage serviced, THIS IS PLACE! Henry was knowledgeable, smart, and I think I made a friend. My garage was extremely noise. After he left, I was educated on the cause, the garage was repaired, and I paid fair price for the service. From this point forward, A1 will be the first place I call if I need help. You will NOT be disappointed here...

Andrew Sauceda was by far the best technician we’ve ever experienced. Had an emergency with our garage door out of all the days (Sunday) to have had happened. On New Years Eve, my garage door had a major breakdown ( broken springs, cables, and brackets) trapping my work vehicle in the garage. Naturally, I called the same old garage door company I've used for years. They wanted to charge me $245 JUST to come out to my house! I told them no way. Luckily, I came across A1 online and noticed they had excellent reviews, so I took a chance and called them.Thank God I did. They were at my house a few hours later and only charged $39 to come out. They send you a profile of the technician coming out to your house. Miles showed up and was extremely professional and friendly. He took the time to introduce himself and listen to my concerns. He then spent the next few hours measuring, take pictures, and even broke out a scale to weigh my garage door! He then went over in detail what my options were.He them put a sales consultant on the phone who went over different packages with my wife and I, including financing options. We picked the package that was best for us.Amazingly, they installed my new garage door 3 days later. Even though it was cold outside and it took a few hours, they worked non-stop and did an excellent job!Miles had given me his number the day he was at my house and said if I had any questions to please reach out to him. After everything was completed, I messaged Miles with some questions, and he responded right away.I am very impressed with Miles and A1...as well as my new garage door. I would highly recommend them.

Would highly recommend Henry Hauk! Super smart, knowledge professional who took pride in his work. Didn't try to oversell us but educated us on the hazards and do's and don'ts of trying to DIY our own issue. Get the warranty! I called 3 other companies and waited 4 days for a callback and never got one. Big plus is they came out same day with parts in hand ready to fix the issue. Great company!

Very nice to work with. Our install tech (Caesar) was on time, polite and obviously a master installer. Our garage door was a complete mess and when he was through we could not be happier with the job. The door seals completely when shut. Caesar also went completely through the operation of the door how it works with the options were even programmed my homelink in my car. The home office was a little bit behind the ball on communicating status of when the door came in but that would be the only least bit of a complaint that I have. I would recommend this company to family and friends not necessarily the cheapest that I came across but they seem to have done a very good job and we are happy with the finished product.

Our door was ready to be installed faster than expected and the fact Cesar came alone and finished the job all by himself was extraordinary, especially in this heat we've been having. Christian came out and fixed our garage door AFTER HOURS and made the garage door even better than it was before. And this was a supposedly new door. I guess they didn’t hire the right man for the job, it was a different company. I wanted to take a minute to comment on the excellent attention and service I have received from A1 Garage Door Service so far! Yesterday after 3:30 my garage door came off its track. I called a couple of places, and A1 said that they could get out here today! Their willingness to acknowledge my problem and empathize with my situation was awesome! So they came earlier than planned (which was great!). Bobby Jones was the technician on the job! What a personality! He was kind, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to be helpful. My dog escaped while he was here, and he even tried to help me with her! I don’t have my appointment scheduled for installation yet, but I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the team! I’m super impressed with the entire process so far, and I was actually pleased with the price. No high-pressure tactics used here!Also, I wanted to compliment the man who took my order and went over pricing with me. His name is Leonard. He was very thorough and polite. I appreciated his attention to detail.

Absolutely incredible service! I highly recommend them! I had Christian and Bobby at my house to install a door opener, but ended up getting new springs as well. The original tech was Christian V., who is seriously one of the nicest and most professional people you will ever meet! Since I needed more parts, he called Bobby to drop off a part, but when Bobby got there, he decided to stay and help out with the job, even though he didn't have too! Bobby was also extremely nice and professional! Seriously, I have not worked with a company in so long that was this professional and nice, along with decent pricing! Already told my family about the great job they did and they are going to be calling them for work soon too! Overall, if you need anything done with your garage, this is definitely the company to call, we will be using them for now on.

So I called A1 when I first purchased my home because my garage opener went out. Armad came and went over my different options. He wasn’t pushy when I let him know I would have to wait. Our tech Alex was easy to talk to and was able to diagnose the primary issue but on inspection some safety concerns as well. He used actual measurements to explain the issues. I called for a spring replacement but ended up getting more….but, it was necessary. I have had a spring replaced in the past and I don’t realize the previous guy got a little too excited and caused some damage to the rod. Armad was thorough in finding out the cause of the spring failure and ways to make my garage door run more efficient. Anyhow, I pulled the trigger and corrected the problem and reasons. The warranty justifies the cost and I feel a sense of relief knowing labor is covered for future repairs.

The service technician, Alex Andrews, arrived on time, as promised, with information about Alex provided by both text and email prior to his arrival. Alex was very professional and went above and beyond what was expected. He is a highly skilled technician that is also very kind and caring - he delivered great customer service! He was wonderful with helping me determine if I wanted to repair or replace my garage doors. He was very informative, super patient with ALL my questions, and willing to go above and beyond in facilitating the conversation for me with his sales team. (Normally the customer talks directly with them, but I was trying to work from home and asked him to relay my questions and requests on my behalf.) He even worked it out where he could do half the job immediately. After trying to do a self repair and Sunday home project…I called A1 Garage Door Service. The receptionist was incredibly nice and she was able to schedule me quickly. Rudy I. was super friendly and took on the challenge of my Lowe’s purchased Craftsman chain garage door opener. 😆 He obviously loves what he does and prides himself in his work and craftsmanship. He explained all the steps and reaffirmed the need to have an expert do the job as it is now operational and working wonderfully. I obviously needed a garage door, called them up same day they came out and looked and gave estimate, told us the eta to install, unfortunately they had some issues, had to reschedule install. Then they tried to reschedule again, due to over booking. Luckily they were able to come and do the job today. Fast instal by Jimmy, he did a wonderful job! The only critique I have is they need to work on customer communication. Good job guys.
