Jacob was amazing! He not only let me know he would be arriving shortly ( have dogs so a heads up is always nice) he did a fast and efficient job including fixing issues I didn’t even know were there. Brandon was phenomenal! Personally, as a ‘young’, single, female homeowner, I often worry that men coming out to discuss repairs may try to take advantage of me (candidly.) However, I could quickly tell that was not a concern with Brandon. He was polite, honest, over communicative, and efficient. He explained everything in detail about my repair, as well as possible options. I ended up scheduling an installation for a new garage door with financing at 0% interest for 12 months! Not a penny out of pocket.Their 3D technology was also helpful in the selection process to see what an updated “model” would look like on my home. I’d highly recommend them to any of my friends and family.

We had a 25+ year old garage door replaced recently. The ordering process was seamless and the tech/repair person was very knowledgeable. The icing on the cake was the installation this past Friday, June 23. Joseph Sakai was our installer. We couldn’t be happier with his work. Timely, neat courteous, and knowledgeable. Excellent service with A1 Garage door service. My spring had popped out from the wall bracket and got stuck on my old garage door opener bracket that was still stuck on the wall. A1 had quick opening which i was able to book via there easy to use online app. The technician Josh called the same morning and arrived on time within the timeslot that i had booked. He arrived and quickly was able to safely secure the loose tensioned spring and release the tension to start working safely. He quickly looked at my system and provided great feedback about what needed to be done so that I had a functional garage door. Every step of the way he communicated any additional costs to fix the garage and made sure i wanted to move forward. Very detailed explaining the issues with my garage and what i needed to get fixed as well as provide options for lower or higher costs and what it entails. The project was done within the time window and now i have a functional garage door that will work without issues for the years to come. Very happy with how punctual and effective the job was executed. Recommend A1 services to anyone that needs any garage door service offered by them.

Alex did an amazing and awesome job on replacing our old garage door opener, which had a chain that was failing. We very much appreciate him being very honest, helpful, thorough and polite, regarding the situation with our old garage. He recommended the best parts and proper equipment for this successful replacement of our old garage door opener system, for a garage that was not ever actually designed to have such features. He was a pleasure to have here today and we highly recommend his work and he really should get a big pay raise for the work that he does for your company.Please let him know that our van has plenty of clearance to fit under the garage door in it’s top position.Thank you for sending him here to do the work today! We are very happy with the work he did! 😀Update: Jacoby came over to our home and explained and successfully helped us set up our three iPhones to use the MyQ app. He was very professional, polite and courteous and we truly appreciate him stopping by to get these tasks done. I recently responded to a radio commercial for a garage door tune up and Joel S from A1 Garage Door Service came out to my house in Woodhaven today. From the moment he arrived, I felt I had made a good decision in calling A1.Joel called me from the road to confirm his arrival time, he arrived in a clean, well-marked van, he was very friendly, personable, professional, and quickly made me feel he was very well-equipped to examine my door & opener and give me an objective report on their condition.He asked several questions about my current garage door, whether I was having any problems with it, or if I had any specific concerns about how things were operating.He carefully listened to my responses and explained what his inspection was going to cover, and then carefully explained what he found.There was at least one cracked hinge, all of the rollers were noisy and in need of lubrication, the bottom rubber seal needed to be replaced, and a few other issues that could pose future problems were pointed out.Joel also commented on several other items, like the springs which I had replaced a few years ago, telling me they were still good shape and that he would readjust the way the door was opening and closing.I’ve also been experiencing some issues with my current automatic door opener (which is quite old) and I inquired about replacement options. I wanted to explore more recent technology like Wi-Fi connectivity and smartphone app use.Joel was able to show me the three models his company carries and offered suggestions on which would best meet my needs. Even though I hadn’t planned on replacing my existing opener today, the explanations I received, along with the payment options and discounts currently available, made a compelling case for doing so. In the end, I decided to replace my old opener with a new model and have it installed today.I was happy to learn that all the A1 installers/service technicians are completely stocked with everything they might need in their vans, so Joel was able to complete my new opener installation with no need for a second visit.We covered all the payment/financing options very easily and thoroughly, and I was approved for my chosen payment plan in a matter of minutes.Once Joel began the actual work of replacing parts on the old door, removing the old opener, and installing the new one… he handled everything quickly, efficiently, and skillfully. He very obviously knew what he was doing and explained things to me as he worked.When the installation was done, he took time to clearly explain everything I needed to know about the new system, the new remotes, and new keypad. He also walked me through the process of setting the smartphone app and showed me how to use it.Throughout the entire process, he was very courteous, easy to understand, and made sure I was comfortable with all the new features of my system. He also carefully cleaned up & removed all the old parts and packing materials from the new unit.When working with contractors at my home, I very much try to get to know them and develop a good customer relationship that will last, especially with items like this which may require future service or maintenance.Even though this was my first experience with A1 Garage Door Service, I’m very pleased and impressed with how everything turned out. Right from my initial phone call to set up the inspection appointment, the courtesy and efficiency of the company representatives I encountered was truly exceptional. To discover this kind of company culture by simply responding to a radio commercial is remarkable.Based on my experience today, I will most certainly recommend A1 Garage Door Service and technicians like Joel S to my friends and family. AFTER INSTALL UPDATE-I love my new garage door!! Thank you A1.Words cannot express how impressed I am with every aspect of my garage door replacement. When Tyler K arrived at my house by himself to remove my old door and install the new one, I was skeptical. The old door was a one piece that was non functioning and had been stuck in place for 7+ years. Somehow, he found a way to get it out, load it on the truck and install the new one to perfection without any assistance. He is a master at installing garage doors!!Do not hesitate in putting your trust in this company. The pic below does not do the door justice.________Everyone I have dealt with at A1 has been enjoyable to work with and knowledgeable about the products, which made the process as easy as possible. Shortly after I narrowed down the doors I liked best, Justin had mock ups done and ready to help me make a decision. Greg was the best service man I've ever met and dealt with and left a 100% positive experience and reflection on the company. What I expected to be a basic garage door tune up turned into an amazing educational experience. As Ryan S went through the inspection process, he explained what he did and how it impacted the future operation of my door. He made multiple comments and suggestions for a better operating door. Kyle Brown Showed up to my house to repair my garage door that had failed late at night. I’m very thankful there’s a company that could come out this late at night to help take care of us and I definitely wouldn’t imagine somebody showing up with a smile and laugh like he has that late at night. Conner arrived & was very polite & professional. He came in like a gang buster & handled his business. He didn’t try to sale me unnecessary equipment, however, he did show me where my door was lacking & made extremely positive & helpful suggestions. I had A1 out today to replace my garage door opener and repair problems with my garage door. My tech, Jacob D, was the best!! He was on time (at the beginning of the time range offered), he was very kind and personable, very knowledgeable about his services and products, and helped me settle on a solution that was appropriate and reasonable!
