I was very pleased at all touch points with A1; the original Customer Service was friendly, helpful and responsive. Justin, my service tech was great. If he had been a student, he’d have earned a 4.0. He was professional and informative about a situation I had neglected. He gave me a couple of options and explained everything thoroughly without sales pressure; that’s my favorite. All the detailed information and your options always helps you make a willing and informed purchase of any sort -and good people seem to know this. Finally, they executed everything in similar, top quality manner; set timely appointments, showed up on time, worked late the first visit because it was required, sent texts before arriving with Techs picture, etc: Entire experience was a very good one and I would highly recommend them.

I had an emergency with my garage googled numbers A1 was the first number. I called and I’m glad I did. From the agent answering my call she was very nice and got me in right away. A1 also sent photo of the service Rep. that was coming to my house, with background information. That was awesome for me because it’s good to know who’s coming to your home in these times. Brian arrived to my home within 30 minutes! Brian was very professional and polite from start to finish of the job. He explained everything! Got the job done in a timely manner! No complaints! It was a very efficient and professional experience. The A1 garage door expert arrived on time at all of the equipment that you needed to do the repair on my garage door spring. His arrival was preceded by a notification from a one that included background information on their representative. Who is who is coming along with a photograph of the representative he was very efficient in his work And completed it quickly and was on his way and the garage door works just fine. I am 100% satisfied with the work.

Great experience! Garage door spring snapped at 9pm and by 1pm the next day I had a working garage door and also upgraded to a nice motor with a light, wifi app, and camera, added a keypad. My garage door moves and quietly and smooth now! The sales/installation guy Jacob was very nice and knowledgeable and had everything in stock in his van. Install only took a few hours which is impressive because he replaced the motor, button, keypad, drums, wires, bearings, brackets… I love the online scheduler, online chat, email confirmation with tech info and photo, 12 month interest free financing. And the cartoon guy on their work van is easy on the eyes 😂😂

This was my 3rd time being serviced by this company and it's been a great experience every time. I got on their website today hoping they'd come out since it's my day off. Within seconds of requesting service I received a text with a time window. 2 minutes after that the service tech Joseph Lewis called to inform me he was heading my way. He was at my house Within an hour of my first request. Joseph was very professional, polite and Took care of my issue quickly. While he was picking up after himself before he left I told him not to worry about it because I had more work to do in the garage and I'd need to sweep anyway. But he still picked up after himself. With that attitude and work ethic I'm sure his future will be full of success!

From setting up the appointment on line to having someone at my house was so fast! Justin could not have been nicer. He’s honest and down to earth. I don’t normally get work done without getting at least 3 quotes but my door was in very bad shape. Justin replaced parts and made it safe again! I recently had a new garage door installed on my home by Tyler Keller and his co-worker (Ryan). They were truly outstanding! They arrived promptly for my scheduled installation appointment. They worked well as a team and were thorough and detailed in their assembly process. They treated my home like it was their own. Ryan even setup (2) remote buttons and (2) smartphones for me before he left so we had immediate ability to operate the door. Both of them answered my questions and addressed my concerns. Jacob demos and his partner Carl called ahead and arrived on time as scheduled. They diagnosed my garage opener problem and resolved my issue within 10 minutes. Jacob very knowledgeable and experienced. I was given incorrect resolution instructions from myQ, a third party, but Jacob solved the issue promptly. He was also able to review the plan I purchased with A1 and clarified my coverage. A1 office is also very prompt and helpful in answering my calls. I have been an a1 customer for two yrs and am very pleased with their professionalism and assistance

I called A1 Garage for a tune-up of a garage door that is old & had become rather loud. Craig from A-1 is the ultimate professional, he explained all of the areas of the door that needed updating & even pointed out areas that could create a safety issue. In the end I have an amazing garage door updated to modern times along with making sure it is functioning safely. Craig & A1 live up to the commercials & I am so glad that I was able to have the garage door updated before the cold weather season sets in. I love the fact that my neighbors can no longer hear me coming & going to due to the elimination of the sound of a previously loud sounding garage door closing. I am very impressed with Craig & A-1.

Service was excellent. I went to leave my house on a Sunday afternoon and my garage door would not open. My vehicle was stuck in the garage and manual override would not work. I was able to book online for a Sunday appointment. Surprised I called to confirm and spoke to Nancy - who was so pleasant. Steven S called within a hour of me booking and arrived timely. Brian was Super nice. Very easy to talk to since i Had no idea what I Needed to be done. He gave me all my options and when I told him I wouldn’t be able to purchase from him, he did not flinch a bit. He made me feel that it was OK andoffered me their Installation services. Not pushy at all. It was quick and easy and exactly what I was looking for …answers to my questions.Also to note, if I were to purchase a garage door opener with him, he said he had one in the truck, had all the tools they needed to complete the job. I used A1 garage door service for the first time when I had a garage door track issue. I scheduled the service through the on line portal and worked very well. I received text messages and telephone calls to confirm the appointment and also received an update the my tech was running behind.The technician (Justin Rose) arrived to see the issue was a little more severe than I thought and he did a fantastic job explaining the issues and the potential repair options.We signed off to do the repairs and Justin went well beyond expectations to make the repairs, communicate as he progressed and when complete, made potential upgrade suggestions to increase the life of the garage door system. There was no pressure and was great information for upgrades that I will consider because of his detailed explanation of each upgrade.I very highly recommend A1 and would have Justin perform our work without a question in the future.

Great service! Tried saving some money putting my new garage door up myself, didn't realize how difficult it was to get it right. Nate and Cole were very understanding as I was so frustrated with the whole thing. What can I say that hasn’t already been said. I had the privilege of meeting Keaton as a service tech. He was all business. Explained the situations and was able to fix it during that call. Just letting you know that you are very well represented by this tech. I was very happy with the service and have been able to use my door regular. I’m sorry I waited so long. I did have another company review the same problem. That company never touched the door never went up on a ladder or anything to get his hands dirty. Just told me that I needed a new door. Take three weeks to get it at a price that was eight times as much. If I ever need, I will use this company and will recommend to anybody that has garage door problems.. Very pleased with his personality, workmanship and friendliness. If all of your techs treat your customers this way, you’ve got a great company

Our spring broke on our 20 year old garage door. Nate was friendly and so knowledgeable. He walked me through what absolutely needed to be replaced, what should also be replaced and the parts that would benefit from updating with no pressure to add on the parts. I felt confident he wasn't just trying to up-sale me and I ended up doing all recommended to ensure the longevity of our garage door. Now our garage should continue going for another 20+ years.

Dylan was on time and relaxed and professional throughout the inspection. He explained the inspection in detail and I was not pressured into purchasing anything but decided to go ahead and do it anyway. He assured me that my son who lives with me would inherit the lifetime warranty as long as the condo was not sold to someone else. My son would be the quit claim owner of the property should something happen to me. I would recommend A1 garage service highly at this point in time.

Jacoby was very knowledgeable in explaining the existing problems with my 24 year old garage door. We discussed replacing my door as well as the repairs he could make to extend the life of my existing door. I opted for the latter and he was very professional and personable while making the improvements to my existing door. I have no doubts the door will last a few more years. Had I been a few years younger, I felt that I could have saved a lot of money, by buying the parts and replacing them myself. The mechanics of a garage door system are not that difficult to understand. All in all, an offer for a $29 plus a $39 service call wound up in an around $650 repair bill. Nevertheless, I was okay with the cost. Much better than the $5200 cost for a new door.

My tech Joel was friendly and professional. After listening to my concerns for the future he provided a service/replacement of parts that fit into my budget. Brian came out to check on a condition where our opener was working and then not. He identified that the opener was at that age and we quickly decided on a proper replacement. Great service, quality of work and customer experience. My garage door motor burned out over the weekend. I was able to schedule a tech online for the next day. The tech showed up on time, was knowledgeable and fixed the problem. None of this work comes for free but the convenience and terrific customer service is worth it. Highly recommend.

A spring broke this morning while I was trapped at home alone. I loved having the option to schedule immediately right through Google. I also really appreciated the photo and bio of my tech beforehand. My window was 11a-4p, and Ryan was promptly here at 11a. Took his time to detail what was needed, what my options were and where I could save a few dollars.The team quickly got my new door and opener hardware, and scheduled the installation within a week.Tyler my installation technician was on time, which has not been the case with other contractors, and ready to get started at the appointment time. He was very nice, and got right to work. He removed the old equipment and installed the new systems quickly and quietly, I almost didn't know he was here. After about 4.5 hours, as he projected, he was cleaned up, old hardware disposed of, and took the time to detail the new system.I would recommend this team to anyone who needed sales or support for their garage door.

I had gotten an outrageous quote from a different company a couple weeks ago and wanted a second opinion. Brian (Bryan) came today and was fantastic. Professional, super friendly, and quick. The first company I had gotten a quote from told me I needed to replace the motor and springs, turns out it just needed a tuneup. I had the unfortunate experience of a broken spring over the weekend. Went out to pick up some last minute items the day before Thanksgiving only to return to a garage door that wouldn’t open due to a broken spring. Immediately contacted A1 Garage to setup a service call for what I expected to be the following week due to the holiday. After speaking with Shirley who was very thorough providing information, she informed me that she could have a service technician available the same day. Within a half hour the technician arrived at my residence. Dylan the service tech was very professional, polite and knowledgeable regarding product and repair. Brandon was phenomenal! Personally, as a ‘young’, single, female homeowner, I often worry that men coming out to discuss repairs may try to take advantage of me (candidly.) Excellent service with A1 Garage door service. My spring had popped out from the wall bracket and got stuck on my old garage door opener bracket that was still stuck on the wall. A1 had quick opening which i was able to book via there easy to use online app. The technician Josh called the same morning and arrived on time within the timeslot that i had booked. He arrived and quickly was able to safely secure the loose tensioned spring and release the tension to start working safely. He quickly looked at my system and provided great feedback about what needed to be done so that I had a functional garage door. Every step of the way he communicated any additional costs to fix the garage and made sure i wanted to move forward. Very detailed explaining the issues with my garage and what i needed to get fixed as well as provide options for lower or higher costs and what it entails. The project was done within the time window and now i have a functional garage door that will work without issues for the years to come. I recently responded to a radio commercial for a garage door tune up and Joel S from A1 Garage Door Service came out to my house in Woodhaven today. From the moment he arrived, I felt I had made a good decision in calling A1.Joel called me from the road to confirm his arrival time, he arrived in a clean, well-marked van, he was very friendly, personable, professional, and quickly made me feel he was very well-equipped to examine my door & opener and give me an objective report on their condition.He asked several questions about my current garage door, whether I was having any problems with it, or if I had any specific concerns about how things were operating.He carefully listened to my responses and explained what his inspection was going to cover, and then carefully explained what he found.There was at least one cracked hinge, all of the rollers were noisy and in need of lubrication, the bottom rubber seal needed to be replaced, and a few other issues that could pose future problems were pointed out.Joel also commented on several other items, like the springs which I had replaced a few years ago, telling me they were still good shape and that he would readjust the way the door was opening and closing.I’ve also been experiencing some issues with my current automatic door opener (which is quite old) and I inquired about replacement options. I wanted to explore more recent technology like Wi-Fi connectivity and smartphone app use.Joel was able to show me the three models his company carries and offered suggestions on which would best meet my needs. Even though I hadn’t planned on replacing my existing opener today, the explanations I received, along with the payment options and discounts currently available, made a compelling case for doing so. In the end, I decided to replace my old opener with a new model and have it installed today.I was happy to learn that all the A1 installers/service technicians are completely stocked with everything they might need in their vans, so Joel was able to complete my new opener installation with no need for a second visit.We covered all the payment/financing options very easily and thoroughly, and I was approved for my chosen payment plan in a matter of minutes.Once Joel began the actual work of replacing parts on the old door, removing the old opener, and installing the new one… he handled everything quickly, efficiently, and skillfully. He very obviously knew what he was doing and explained things to me as he worked.When the installation was done, he took time to clearly explain everything I needed to know about the new system, the new remotes, and new keypad. He also walked me through the process of setting the smartphone app and showed me how to use it.Throughout the entire process, he was very courteous, easy to understand, and made sure I was comfortable with all the new features of my system. He also carefully cleaned up & removed all the old parts and packing materials from the new unit.When working with contractors at my home, I very much try to get to know them and develop a good customer relationship that will last, especially with items like this which may require future service or maintenance.Even though this was my first experience with A1 Garage Door Service, I’m very pleased and impressed with how everything turned out. Right from my initial phone call to set up the inspection appointment, the courtesy and efficiency of the company representatives I encountered was truly exceptional. AFTER INSTALL UPDATE-I love my new garage door!! Thank you A1.Words cannot express how impressed I am with every aspect of my garage door replacement. When Tyler K arrived at my house by himself to remove my old door and install the new one, I was skeptical. The old door was a one piece that was non functioning and had been stuck in place for 7+ years. Somehow, he found a way to get it out, load it on the truck and install the new one to perfection without any assistance.
