02-18-2021 I called A1 Garage Service because my garage door wasn't working properly. I found coupons for this company the other day and called the office. The lady at the office answered and at first set a time for Friday but said that she'd squeeze me in today between 1000 and 1500 to get my garage door working sooner. She called me this morning to let me know the time someone would be out in 1 1/2 hours. Nick called and said he was on his way and would be here at 1415. When he got here he asked what brings him out here today? I told him about my garage door not working and he said let's take a look. He was very friendly and I felt so much at ease right away as I felt I was in good hands. He explained what was going on and showed me a few things. He did try to talk about replacing the spring but I didn't want to spend more money on something that's still working. I probably could've called another garage service place in town but I didn't think of them at the time. This place isn't the most reasonable. He's very passionate on his work ethics and very proud of it too. You're very lucky and fortunate to have such a fine young man working for you. Great job Nick.

Brandon called letting me know exactly when he'd be at my house and he arrived right on time. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I mentioned a few additional concerns I had with one of my doors and he took care of them quickly. Really impressed with his work ethic and the entire process by A1. Definitely top notch from setting my appointment to the end result. If I could give them more stars I would.

Brandon identified the issue at hand and was able to resolve it. Jonathon was an excellent technician. He went through my options with me thoroughly but in an easy to understand way and was able to identify other problems that he solved immediately. Even though I spent more than the original quote because of other parts needing to be replaced, I am happy with the level of service I received. I would use this company again and would recommend Jonathon G 999-A to anyone looking for a good technician.

Greg came promptly to give me a garage and opener estimate. The estimate was higher than the competitor. He matched to the lower estimate. But the best part was that he showed me which springs and wheels they would install with each door package price.. I knew exactly what i was purchasing. After getting 5 bids, A1 is giving me the best price for the material and the confidence that I made the best decision. I will go with them as soon as I get condo association approval. Extremely happy.

The technician Tony was very prompt knowledgeable and efficient. Not only did he replace the garage door motor but offered several options in which to choose that best met our needs. He also gave other advice and suggestions to help keep from making unnecessary calls in the future. Tony was very professional, courteous and informative. All-around wonderful experience. Called in for an estimate on repair/replacement of opener on main garage door. Technician Greg came out same day, gave us a great quote and didn't sell us what we did not need or want. Work load and price were totally fair so we had him replace both openers and springs on two doors along with keypad entry. Job was done QUICKLY, SAME DAY and best part... everything left perfectly clean. We love how smooth and quiet our doors are. Highly recommend and ask for Greg, he's fabulous.

Very pleasant experience with A-1 from the initial call for service to arrival for an estimate on a repair for a failing garage door or full replacement. The company scheduled the service/estimate time of arrival and Brandon our service technician was on time, very professional and personable. Brandon took the time to evaluate our needs and offered (no pressure) us the options of repair or replacement. We ended up ordering a new door with helpful recommendations for our home on the type of door and any options available. The standard garage door worked for us. Brandon was there to make sure we received a pleasant experience with A1 Garage Door- didn't disappoint. Would recommend A1 for anyone looking to get a quote for repair or replacement. 5 star so far- will let you know how the install goes.

I contacted A1 Garage Service for our garage door and when I called, a person answered the phone immediately. No leaving a message. I set up a day for A1 to come over and look at our garage door. I couldn't believe it that A1 Garage Service was open on a Sunday. Jed from the A1 Garage Service was at my door at 8:00 am. He told me it would take a hour and a half to fix our garage door. So I approved the service to be done. It was incredible the door worked beautifully. Great service and kind people.

Jimmy came out right on time and did an excellent job on my new door. I was actually impressed how quickly the job was done and done right. I got the entire door and opener replaced. When the job was done Jimmy went over all the features with the opener and the MyQ app . I must of opened that door 20 some times after because I was so impressed with how quiet and smooth it was. I would definitely recommend A1 garage doors to anyone.

I had wonderful experience with the company before, but this time - it was fantastic! I needed to install garage opener, in my case it was very complicated - the door was previously installed too high and it was not enough space for the opener. It was great technician Greg who generated the idea how to do it without costly door replacement! The job was done fast, everything is working perfectly. Greg N was wonderful...not only temporarily fixed the screw ups the first company broke but explained everything he did at every stage. Our springs broke and after searching for companies to repair garage doors, i came across A1. They were courteous and helpful from the initial call until the work was completed. The tech came early and called for permission to do so. The teach went over the options & pricing, no pressured sales just trying to find out what would work best for me, if i would be in the house for a long time or not. Once the job was complete, he reviewed what was done and provided some tips on preventative maintenance. Very good company and great to work with.

Our garage door had been giving us a hard time for awhile, so when it finally stopped working we weren’t surprised. However, it was still a super inconvenience! I called first thing in the morning and was given a 1:00pm to 6:00 arrival time. By 11:45am, my service guy called and asked if he could come early! Jed was super knowledgeable and provided all the details to reassure me of the work he was going to do. All and all, the money is always hard to spend...but glad we got it done and will call on A1 again in the future!

The spring on my door broke and messed up all the cables as well. I wanted to get it taken care of ASAP so I called a few places and A1 was able to fit me in last minute to meet my time constraints. The technician (Jed) was awesome, very polite and professional and explained everything to me. I also ended up putting in a new opener and key pad and the level of customer service and detail were much appreciated. Thanks!

After having broken garage doors for over 14 years we finally were able to go ahead with a complete replacement for both of our doors. We checked with several other companies and big box stores but went with A1 for our work needed. They were super fast scheduling appointments for the quotes and had great communication re: ordering, scheduling etc. We did have to wait a little over a month for the work to be scheduled once the deposit was down but they communicated that right from the start so it wasn't a problem. Work was done in one day for a complete tear out and replacement. Technicians were all very friendly and easy to work with. We did go ahead with several of the upgrades but with the cost savings of coupons and promotional deals it all balanced out. We would highly recommend them to others looking for the same work.

We bought a Groupon to get our aging garage door serviced and ended up with two brand new ones, including a hookup to an owner supplied garage door opener. Couldn’t be happier! The quote was reasonable, the time frame between contract and execution was doable, the installation was perfect. You get a little bio of the installer that is coming to your house by text, so you know who to expect. The guys triple checked everything to make sure it was done right and working. For piece of mind, we subscribe to the maintenance plan; for a nominal fee they will come out at least once a year to check the system, and have scheduled, timely replacements of rolling parts included. If you are serious about new garage doors, give A1 a call. You won’t be disappointed.

I used A1 based on the google reviews, but usually don't post myself.My issue concerned the opening mechanism.It was an excellent experience all around, from booking the service, the prompt appointment, an efficient and cost-effective fix by Jed, the technician.I bought a garage door several years ago, and wouldn't use that company again. In contrast, I'd unconditionally recommend A1 and use them again without hesitation.

My garage door would not close using remote, and when I called the A-1 representative, he logged the details of the problem. Then he called the dispatcher and found a way to have the problem fixed that same afternoon, securing my garage effective that night. The repair person figured out a different spring was a better fit for the weight of my old door and six month old Liftmaster, and updated it under warranty. In the process, he also alerted me that he was getting shocks from an electrical pipe so I could have an electrician check it out. Thanks very much to all involved for their caring and attention to detail - I am very happy I chose A-1!

I had a great experience with A1 Garage Door Service and definitely had to give them a 5 Star Rating. The Customer Service was excellent from the very time I called them to make an appointment with their Customer Care Representative. The Technician (Jed Hunter) that serviced our garage door was right on time, was very polite, and answered all my questions. He also gave me great tips on how to best maintain our garage door, did an excellent job in replacing our garage door cables, and did some extra lubrication of my garage door hinges and wheels while servicing my door. Jed further explained about additional services that I can obtain in the future and provided me with a detailed cost estimate for all future services that I inquired about. This Technician was outstanding and was an excellent representative for their company.As such, I will definitely be calling on A1 Garage Door Service for all my future garage door needs. They are prompt, courteous, customer service oriented, and always easy to reach and schedule an appointment with every day of the week. Also their fees are very competitive and they were reasonably priced better than the other garage door companies that I researched with locations servicing Southeastern Wisconsin.Thanks for the Great Service A1!

I was very happy that I called for a tune up because I found out (and saw for myself) that I needed a few things done to my garage before a bad thing would happen. Jason called before arriving and arrived within the given time slot. He was very pleasant and very thorough in his inspection. Jason was very knowledgeable and pointed out the potential problems I was facing. He took care of new cables, new spring and replaced my safety eyes and rollers. He even reset the limits on my door opener as they were set wrong. It was a bit pricey but he did a great job and explained everything for me. I would definitely use A1 again!

Due to an aging garage door, I’ve needed the services of A1 three times over the last two years. Each has been with a different technician and each has been a positive experience! My last experience was on 5-15-20 with Greg N. who replaced my garage door opener. Greg assessed my old opener and then explained why it was failing. He explained the differences between the two openers he recommended so that I was able to make an informed decision. After the installation, he thoroughly went through all of the features of the new opener and patiently answered all of my many questions since some of the technology was new to me. Greg never talked down to me or implied any question was too small.As a woman, I appreciate this type of treatment and professionalism. I highly recommend A1 Garage Door Service!

Easy to get an appointment for the day after I found the spring snapped and broke. They were friendly when I made the appointment, but also were honest that there was no free estimate. I would be required to pay a fee if I chose not to use them. This would've delayed the repair and cost me $20. Due to their BBB rating I decided to go forward with the appointment. I was given the normal AM or PM schedule. The repair tech called me, sent a link to see where he was and predicted arrival. I was impressed by their truck and supplies. The Tech was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me multiple choices for repair and guarantees. He completed the job in a very prompt, efficient manner. His quality of work was A1. (Yes, I did go there). I've had this same spring replaced a few years ago, and it was done cheaply, but incorrectly, thereby the wrong tension caused it to snap. So I'm glad I didn't go with the cheapest neighborhood guy this time. I'm okay with paying a little bit more for the quality work, knowledgeable Tech. Even with free estimates, it's hard to trust what the end result would be, so don't let that deter you. Get your free estimates first, check BBB, then call A1. I am very happy with the end result.

I had wonderful experience with the company before, but this time - it was fantastic! I needed to install garage opener, in my case it was very complicated - the door was previously installed too high and it was not enough space for the opener. It was great technician Greg who generated the idea how to do it without costly door replacement! The job was done fast, everything is working perfectly. Greg N was wonderful...not only temporarily fixed the screw ups the first company broke but explained everything he did at every stage. Our springs broke and after searching for companies to repair garage doors, i came across A1. They were courteous and helpful from the initial call until the work was completed. The tech came early and called for permission to do so. The teach went over the options & pricing, no pressured sales just trying to find out what would work best for me, if i would be in the house for a long time or not. Once the job was complete, he reviewed what was done and provided some tips on preventative maintenance. Very good company and great to work with.

Our garage door had been giving us a hard time for awhile, so when it finally stopped working we weren’t surprised. However, it was still a super inconvenience! I called first thing in the morning and was given a 1:00pm to 6:00 arrival time. By 11:45am, my service guy called and asked if he could come early! Jed was super knowledgeable and provided all the details to reassure me of the work he was going to do. All and all, the money is always hard to spend...but glad we got it done and will call on A1 again in the future!

The spring on my door broke and messed up all the cables as well. I wanted to get it taken care of ASAP so I called a few places and A1 was able to fit me in last minute to meet my time constraints. The technician (Jed) was awesome, very polite and professional and explained everything to me. I also ended up putting in a new opener and key pad and the level of customer service and detail were much appreciated. Thanks!

After having broken garage doors for over 14 years we finally were able to go ahead with a complete replacement for both of our doors. We checked with several other companies and big box stores but went with A1 for our work needed. They were super fast scheduling appointments for the quotes and had great communication re: ordering, scheduling etc. We did have to wait a little over a month for the work to be scheduled once the deposit was down but they communicated that right from the start so it wasn't a problem. Work was done in one day for a complete tear out and replacement. Technicians were all very friendly and easy to work with. We did go ahead with several of the upgrades but with the cost savings of coupons and promotional deals it all balanced out. We would highly recommend them to others looking for the same work.

We bought a Groupon to get our aging garage door serviced and ended up with two brand new ones, including a hookup to an owner supplied garage door opener. Couldn’t be happier! The quote was reasonable, the time frame between contract and execution was doable, the installation was perfect. You get a little bio of the installer that is coming to your house by text, so you know who to expect. The guys triple checked everything to make sure it was done right and working. For piece of mind, we subscribe to the maintenance plan; for a nominal fee they will come out at least once a year to check the system, and have scheduled, timely replacements of rolling parts included. If you are serious about new garage doors, give A1 a call. You won’t be disappointed.

I used A1 based on the google reviews, but usually don't post myself.My issue concerned the opening mechanism.It was an excellent experience all around, from booking the service, the prompt appointment, an efficient and cost-effective fix by Jed, the technician.I bought a garage door several years ago, and wouldn't use that company again. In contrast, I'd unconditionally recommend A1 and use them again without hesitation.

My garage door would not close using remote, and when I called the A-1 representative, he logged the details of the problem. Then he called the dispatcher and found a way to have the problem fixed that same afternoon, securing my garage effective that night. The repair person figured out a different spring was a better fit for the weight of my old door and six month old Liftmaster, and updated it under warranty. In the process, he also alerted me that he was getting shocks from an electrical pipe so I could have an electrician check it out. Thanks very much to all involved for their caring and attention to detail - I am very happy I chose A-1!

I had a great experience with A1 Garage Door Service and definitely had to give them a 5 Star Rating. The Customer Service was excellent from the very time I called them to make an appointment with their Customer Care Representative. The Technician (Jed Hunter) that serviced our garage door was right on time, was very polite, and answered all my questions. He also gave me great tips on how to best maintain our garage door, did an excellent job in replacing our garage door cables, and did some extra lubrication of my garage door hinges and wheels while servicing my door. Jed further explained about additional services that I can obtain in the future and provided me with a detailed cost estimate for all future services that I inquired about. This Technician was outstanding and was an excellent representative for their company.As such, I will definitely be calling on A1 Garage Door Service for all my future garage door needs. They are prompt, courteous, customer service oriented, and always easy to reach and schedule an appointment with every day of the week. I was very happy that I called for a tune up because I found out (and saw for myself) that I needed a few things done to my garage before a bad thing would happen. Jason called before arriving and arrived within the given time slot. He was very pleasant and very thorough in his inspection. Jason was very knowledgeable and pointed out the potential problems I was facing. He took care of new cables, new spring and replaced my safety eyes and rollers. He even reset the limits on my door opener as they were set wrong. It was a bit pricey but he did a great job and explained everything for me. I would definitely use A1 again!

Due to an aging garage door, I’ve needed the services of A1 three times over the last two years. Each has been with a different technician and each has been a positive experience! My last experience was on 5-15-20 with Greg N. who replaced my garage door opener. Greg assessed my old opener and then explained why it was failing. He explained the differences between the two openers he recommended so that I was able to make an informed decision. After the installation, he thoroughly went through all of the features of the new opener and patiently answered all of my many questions since some of the technology was new to me. Easy to get an appointment for the day after I found the spring snapped and broke. They were friendly when I made the appointment, but also were honest that there was no free estimate. I would be required to pay a fee if I chose not to use them. This would've delayed the repair and cost me $20. Due to their BBB rating I decided to go forward with the appointment. I was given the normal AM or PM schedule. The repair tech called me, sent a link to see where he was and predicted arrival. I was impressed by their truck and supplies. The Tech was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me multiple choices for repair and guarantees. He completed the job in a very prompt, efficient manner. His quality of work was A1. (Yes, I did go there). I've had this same spring replaced a few years ago, and it was done cheaply, but incorrectly, thereby the wrong tension caused it to snap. So I'm glad I didn't go with the cheapest neighborhood guy this time. I'm okay with paying a little bit more for the quality work, knowledgeable Tech. Even with free estimates, it's hard to trust what the end result would be, so don't let that deter you. Get your free estimates first, check BBB, then call A1. I am very happy with the end result.
