Sheldon was absolutely 100% garage door savvy! He was professional, knowledgable, and explained concepts very well. He took the time to assess the other garage door and identified an issue to correct before a larger issue arises. He wasn't rushed. He took his time and did a thorough job. We had Dean March come to see what he could do to repair our recently (poorly) repaired old (1964) 17' x7' wooden garage door.The previous "repair" would even allow me open it manually without a great deal of effort. Ugh!Dean looked it over and made sure I really wanted to keep this door. I did!He was very honest in his assessment and provided me with a quote and an assurance that it would be done right, this time.He was here a couple of days later, and although it took a little more time and effort than he originally planned, he completed the job and "old" door works perfectly. (He wasn't leaving until it did! 😊)I'd strongly recommend A-1 to anyone needing a repair, replacement or new install. Their whole operation from my initial phone call to completion was professional, courteous, upfront, detail orientated and knowledgeable.Keith

We were very impressed with Conner! Extremely nice and personable. He took alot of time with us setting up our phones for us, explained every aspect of our new unit. Unit is so very quiet! Our other one had a chain (extremely noisy) but our new one Conner installed is awesome and wonderful! We need to let everyone know, if you need an upgraded garage door unit, you need to call A-1 and request Conner! Conner is exceptional! He is professional, personable and excellent at his craft! He repaired the problem with our garage door as well as did preventive maintenance on both garage doors! We moved into our condo two years ago and the garage doors have been so incredibly loud. We could not figure it out why. We had another company out to do maintenance on them and they did not find the problem that Conner found today.Now our garage doors both sound so quiet it’s unbelievable! We are so incredibly happy with Conner’s service and we will definitely call A1 next time and ask for Conner!We give A1 and Conner our highest recommendation!! Excellent job! Called about a broken garage door on a Friday and they were able to get a technician out the next morning! Our technician, Connor, was able to completely fix our problem in a timely manner at a reasonable price. He made recommendations for a replacement door in the future but in the meantime our problem has been resolved. I highly recommend Connor and A1 Garage Door Service. Thank you!!

One of our very old garage doors finally gave out and the very next day, a Saturday, Conner was here!David T. helped complete our order with humor and professionalism and helped mitigate the financial constraints.A mere 4 days later: David A! Phenomenal job! Photo far right ‘before’ picture: 48 years old, stained, wood, trim falling off, practically non-existing poor quality insulation, totally dysfunctional garage doors. ‘After’ pictures (left) (-sorry about the truck partially blocking right side door view) BEAUTIFUL, quiet, insulating, and amazing trim! David went above and beyond regarding new key pad, removing old key pad (non-functioning) and remotes (we’ve been manually opening and closing those garage doors for years!). So helpful! So friendly! Connor did a really great job helping me install a garage door motor. I was very impressed with his efficiency and ability to help me quickly. I was planning to go out of town the next day and the door got stuck and wouldn't close around 6pm. Connor came to help right away and was able to finish the job that night. He was very thorough and made sure to do a good job. There have been no issues since it was installed. I would use A1 garage services again in the future and I would also recommend them to my family and friends.

I had a very good experience with A1 Garage Door Service all the way around. On Friday I accepted their estimate for installation of a new door and by Monday afternoon my door was installed. Conner was the estimator and David did the installation. Both were very pleasant, personable, professional and knowledgeable. They did suggest a higher grade of door (with a corresponding higher price) than I ultimately purchased, but they were very quick to accommodate my wish to adhere to a budget and offered me some basic options that would work well for me. Their office partner on the phone gave me pricing and threw in a number of discounts to sweeten the deal. It pays to do your research here and know the price of doors, styles and motors. To cap it all off, I felt a bit of pressure to buy a nicer door than I needed and to buy it immediately, but they made good on their promises, did a good job on installation, and I am very happy with my new door that looks like it fits with all the other doors in my neighborhood. Thank you Conner and David!

This is the second time I contacted A1 GARAGE door SERVICE to help me with an issue with my garage door after someone broke in…. This time Jake helped me. He was on time , reliable and super kind. I am very happy with the experience that the A1 Garage door team has provided me! Dean was very professional and answered all questions that I had in terms that were easy to understand. I don’t feel that I was being pressured to buy anything that I didn’t need but was well informed about the parts of my garage door that were well past their useful lifespan. Last Friday night, our garage door stopped working. I was so happy to hear that A1 Garage would be able to help us on the weekend. Fernando G called to let us know he was on his way, he was here a little before our scheduled 1pm appointment. Fernando was incredible!! He worked quickly and efficiently. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Our 18 month old garage door (installed by another company) got stuck in a very awkward position. The right side was down but the left side was open about 3 feet from the ground. All of the tracks were bending and the weight of the garage door caused more damage than I ever thought possible. My son and I couldn’t get the door all the way down. We called the installer who said they couldn’t make it out for 3 weeks! I contacted A1 and they came out the very next morning. Conner (the A1 tech specialist) assessed the damage, called for backup, and fixed the door. They were able to save the garage door and just replace the tracking system to get everything working properly. They even made sure the new parts were better than the old ones which added extra “peace of mind” that this wouldn’t likely happen again. Highly recommend A1 Garage Sevice. I received a coupon in the mail for a $59.95 tuneup special. Since my garage had not been tuned up for over seven years, I decided to take A-1 up on the offer. I was surprised to find that they had an opening for Saturday morning which would save me from having to take time off of work.Jake called me half an hour before my appointment time to make sure it was still convenient for me. He arrived on time. She helped us lubricate our hinges and rollers and tightened the chain. He also pointed out quirks about our doors we weren’t aware of I am amazed at how much more I know now about garage doors, thanks to Jake.I love that Jake was 100% honest. The fact that he didn’t try to sell me anything extra, makes me trust him more. The next time he comes out and recommends service (and there will be a next time for sure), I won’t have to wonder if he is just trying to sell me stuff I don’t need.Excellence!

I have a ancient (circa 1970's) wood door and overhead motor that has all kinds of challenges. Charles Crnkovich took his time, in explaining, very thoroughly all the options ahead of me. Very smooth process and all around solid company. He was to the point, allowed me to make the decisions on products, higher vs lower and was overall very polite and respectful. I’d recommend these guys in a skinny second!!The installer, David Antunez did a KILLER job installing my garage door. He went the extra mile to help make the job perfect 🫶🏻 he ROCKS!!

I don’t know how their price compares to others but great service. I was greeted by a friendly and professional operator on the first call, and my garage door was repaired the very next morning. Several notifications verified my appointment and thanked me for being a customer. I later received a message from the technician introducing himself with a snapshot bio and picture. Excellent service from Troy Lawson! He was able to get our questions quickly fixed and is a very great guy. He also recommended some things we needed to get fixed as well. Also, we received great customer service from other workers such as getting a same day appointment and letting know when Troy would be at our residence. I was impressed and happy with the service by A1 Garage, especially their technician Fernando. After analyzing my garage door problems he provided optional solutions. He patiently answered my questions and shared features of each option. Due to the late hour in the day I thought I would need to make another appointment for the installation however he acknowledged that he had the necessary parts to do the installation. Once completed he tested all components and stepped me thru some recommendations for future maintenance. I would recommend A1 Garage and Fernando to any prospective customer.

I can't begin to praise this company and their employees. From Troy Lawson who came to do the estimate (and returned on his own time to clear the garage area for installers) to Jesse and his helper who arrived on installation day as scheduled, estimated 9hrs to complete the job and did it in 7hrs! Everything was completed as stated on contract. I'm over the moon about my new garage doors -- especially that A-1 was able to find two matching doors and complete the project w/ in 3 week, when the other 3 companies gave time lines from 3 months to 9 months. Troy was on the phone to his supplier as we stood in my garage and located doors available as soon as I paid my deposit to put my name on them. Again... wonderful company and great employees. Dean from A1 was great to work with. While garage door service typically isn’t cheap, I feel like I got a huge amount of value out of the visit. I looked at replacing my opener myself, and when I look at the quality unit he installed and all the extra tweaks and services he did along the way to get the whole system running smoothly again, on two doors, this was money well spent. Backing into your own garage door is pretty stupid. That's what I had to face when I called A1. However, the technician, Troy, was very patient with me and explained all that needed to happen to get me back to having an operable door while i waited for the new door to be installed. Nothanyell was excellent. I had a 8 am to noon appointment window. It turned out I was his 1st appointment and he called at 7:40 to let me know when he would arrive. A1 Garage did an excellent job responding to my urgent request to have my broken garage door spring replaced. Two other firms said they were unable to get the needed parts due to an ongoing parts storage on the industry. The representative that came to the house (Troy L) was very professional and provided a very thorough analysis of what needed to be done. Troy confirmed getting the parts from the normal suppliers was an issue, but offered up an alternative solution by offering up A1’s proprietory high end product line at a very competitive price point. Once agreed, Troy worked diligently and finished the job a couple of hours later. After completion Troy walked through a complete survey of our system and the diagnostics he had performed.All on all A1, and especially Troy did an outstanding job. My garage door opener slowly started shutting down week by week. After a month of replacing batteries, the keypad & remotes I started calling around. The first company I called never answered, sat on hold 15 min but couldn’t handle the terrible hold commentary as it sounded like blown out speakers so called A1 who was 2nd on my list. They answered after about a 15-20 min hold & was able to get me an appt within 3 days. I had a feeling we’d need to upgrade so was prepared for the sales pitch. Kyle did an amazing job explaining what was wrong & showing me why he suggested the replacements. He offered 3 different choices for each of my products & explained each one in detail, plus had an explanation for all my questions. He was prepared for any service I needed short from having a garage door with him ha!I was offered multiple choices & discounts & he didn’t try to convince me to get the most expensive product. I went middle of the road based on his suggestions. (He said I didn’t need to spend the extra money on certain products for what my setup was like) I appreciated his honest opinion & am 100% happy with the service & products! Jessie came to install our new garage door yesterday. He was absolutely wonderful! Jessie was helpful and knowledgeable, taking out the old door and installing the new one with efficiency.We had wanted a new door for awhile, but the sudden damage to the existing door when our RV backed into the door, made this install an immediate necessity for both safety and security. We were scheduled to leave in the RV the following day, and contemplated cancelling our trip due to this breech. When the first technician (Finn) came out to assess the damage and secure the door, we were told that a new door would not be available until next February due to supply chain issues. Finn was able to brace the door panels and secure them so we could go off in the motor home knowing the house was secure from unwanted entry.A few days into our vacation excursion, I received a text message and several phone messages stating a door was available and could be installed upon our return home. We had terrible WiFi and cell service at our location, and we’re unable to speak to anyone directly to schedule an installation. I was able to send a text message after repeated attempts, and let Finn know when we would be home and requested they schedule anytime after that date. The new door was in place three days after our return!When Jessie arrived, we had been unable to remove the items inside the garage door to provide him the best access. This did not faze Jessie; he helped us move the items out of the way once the door was removed.The technicians and office staff at A-1 Garage Doors are superb. I recommend their services to everyone.

Amazing service provided by the company when I called and amazing service done by the repairman Kyle. The garage door broke and did not open. I was stuck at home. Kyle fully repaired it and now it opens and closes just like new. As a matter of fact, I lived at my house for 9 years and the garage door never operated as quiet and smooth as it does now. I contacted another company I totally. That company ended up taking over 2.5 hours to call me back when we got disconnected, so I called A1. I called because of the stellar ratings on Google. I am glad that the 1st company did not work out because Kyle came and fixed/replaced what was needed and saved us from the hassle of manually opening and closing our garage door, all the while being careful that it didn’t fall down with too much force.Although, the replacement was a bit more than we anticipated (it usually always is) we are super happy about the decision to scrap the late 90’s model for a new one. Friday, at about 3:45 pm I backed into my garage door when it abruptly stopped opening, and the shadows on the door made it difficult to tell it was unopened. As a result, I bent the track on the left and pulled a roller off the track, on the right. The door opened all the way at that point, but could not shut. We live in a great neighborhood in Ridgefield, but still have items that we don't want vulnerable to mischief makers and thieves. My first call I was able to.make an appointment for Monday of the coming week. That felt uncomfortable. I confirmed the appointment, with a caveat to cancel if I could arrange a sooner service call.I then called A-1 and was able to schedule an emergency appointment. Dean was out in nearly 1.5 hours and completed both the repair of the track and replacement of the worn and failing rollers, not only on my car door, but the loudly complaining rollers on my husband's side of the garage as well. In the time Dean was here, he appraised the good and needy parts of our doors, clearly and courteously explained what needed to be done and different levels of service available. He came with a mask on to protect our health. Dean worked professionally, communicated explicitly and made me confident I had made a great choice. 👍

Our garage doors and openers were about 30 years old and were not functioning well at all. I called and Kyle came out and repaired a broken spring and gave me information about replacing the doors. We decided to go ahead with replacing all 3 doors and openers.The day of install, they let me know they were on their way, 3 guys showed up and worked all day (one of the warmest days we’ve had this year) until the job was complete. I LOVE these doors. I feel like we moved into a new house. The openers are SO quiet compared to our old ones . The doors run smoothly. They don’t get hung up anywhere! A1 came out for an estimate when my garage door stopped working. The technician Kyle was able to come out 2 days after I called. He was informative and easy to work with. He walked me through the issues he found as well as his recommendations and discussed options for extending my old garage door openers life or replacing it. I ended up having to use a different company due to my home warranty restrictions. It's my own fault for not going that route first but I would definitely use A1 again in the future after my warranty expires.
