Choosing Your New Garage Door Colors
Garage door color choices grow in number each year with manufacturers adding options to align with changing trends.
• Price: Most colors will not change the price of your door. However, some include an upcharge.
• Finish: Most doors come with a baked-on paint finish, which is extremely durable. Some doors will come with a powder coat finish, which is not quite as durable.
• Warranty: Warranties can vary. Expect a 3- to 5-year warranty on powder coat doors and a 15-year to a lifetime warranty on baked-on paint finishes. Warning: If you paint over your door’s factory finish, you may void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Choosing Your New Garage Door Insulation
What Difference Will an Insulated Garage Door Make?
There are a lot of factors involved in the answer. But two things to keep in mind are:
Each garage is different in shape and construction.
The climate you live in matters!
R-Value
The R-value of a garage door is a number that correlates to the door’s ability to slow the transfer of heat. A higher R-value is better. In the winter, this pertains to how slowly it allows the heat inside your garage to escape outside. In the summer, it defines how slowly outside heat seeps into your garage. It’s important to keep in mind that your door’s R-value has a direct effect on the cost of your heating and cooling bills.
