Would A1’s Worry Free Club make garage door maintenance easier? Or would you pay for benefits you rarely use?
At A1 Garage Door Service, we’ve been asked these questions often over the years. That’s why we created the Worry-Free Club using insights we’ve gleaned from customers looking for value.
In this article, we’ll cover membership costs, tune-ups, labor coverage, and the important limits. By the end, you’ll know what to ask before deciding whether membership fits your home.
How Much Does A1’s Worry Free Club Cost?
A1’s published price is $12.95 monthly or $155.40 prepaid annually, per residential property. At those rates, twelve monthly payments equal the annual payment. Paying annually does not reduce that total.
Membership combines an annual garage door tune-up with support and qualifying labor benefits. The property-based rate covers multiple garage doors at the same residence.
Compare that yearly total with a separate maintenance quote. Ask what each includes instead of treating every tune-up as identical.
What Makes the Club’s Tune-Up Different?
The Worry-Free Club’s tune-up uses a longer checklist than our standard 29-point safety and service inspection. We call it a 151-point inspection, but the checklist has actually expanded to 153 checks.
Our trained technicians check tracks, brackets, overhead supports, alignment, and opener components. They tighten fasteners, examine exterior trim, and document findings with photos.
Having run these appointments myself, I appreciate how much goes into them. As I said on Garage Authority:
“It’s the most detailed inspection list I’ve ever seen.”
These appointments could take 60 to 90 minutes when I ran them. Multiple doors can mean more time, so ask what to expect when scheduling.
These are professional service tasks, not a DIY checklist. For separate homeowner guidance, see DASMA’s garage door safety tips.
A Real A1 Customer Story: Ten Garage Doors, One Property
One member’s appointment shows what per-property pricing looks like in practice.
Our technician Trevor arrived at a property with ten garage doors. He called his manager with a scheduling update:
“I’m going to need the rest of the day here.”
The visit produced 147 photos. That homeowner paid the same membership rate as someone with one door.
That example shows why door count belongs in your comparison. Ask how a separate maintenance visit would be priced for your property.
A1 Pro Tip:
Have multiple doors? Ask A1 to compare membership with a one-time tune-up. Bring your questions about the inspection, pricing, and what each option includes. A1 Garage Door Service
What Do the Other Membership Benefits Cover?
Labor Coverage Is Not a Free-Parts Promise
Qualifying A1-installed parts carry lifetime labor coverage while your membership remains active. The parts warranty can expire even when that labor coverage continues.
Here’s an example of that policy in practice:
Say A1 installed springs with a five-year parts warranty. If they were to fail in year six, qualifying labor could still be covered. You could still pay for the replacement springs.
Before approving work, ask which parts qualify and what charges remain. “Lifetime labor” should never leave you guessing about your bill.
Emergency Benefits Apply to Specific Services
Membership benefits include priority emergency service within 24 hours and half off emergency fees. A live technician helpline is also included.
That discount applies to the emergency fee, not your entire repair. An arrival commitment also isn’t a promise that every repair finishes immediately.
Ask about timing, available support, and remaining charges when you call.
Surge Protection Is Included
The plan includes a surge protector when your opener doesn’t already have one. We discussed this benefit alongside Arizona’s monsoon storms and sensitive opener electronics.
Ask your technician what protection your opener already has. Don’t treat an included protector as a guarantee against every electrical problem.
Will A1 Remind Me to Schedule Maintenance?
We start running reminder outreach around the ten-month mark. However, maintenance scheduling could take four to six weeks. For concerned customers, early outreach helps plan the yearly visit.
However, courtesy reminders are not guaranteed. Scheduling remains the member’s responsibility. You must complete your tune-up during an active membership period. Unused visits do not automatically carry forward.
A1 Pro Tip:
Keep your own reminder and ask when you can first book. Having a membership isn’t the same thing as having an appointment.
Who Should Consider the Worry Free Club?
I’d take a closer look at membership when several benefits fit your home. Multiple doors, eligible A1-installed parts, and support access are reasons to compare it.
A one-time tune-up may fit better when you prefer paying per visit. A1 offers both one-time maintenance and maintenance plans. A1 Garage Door Service
Compare actual quotes before deciding which choice costs less. Consider which benefits matter to you beyond the annual inspection.
Don’t join expecting every future repair to be free. Membership also shouldn’t be treated as a promise that nothing will ever break.
A1 Pro Tip:
Before signing up, confirm qualifying parts, scheduling eligibility, additional charges, and cancellation terms. The best choice is the one you understand and expect to use.
Let’s Find the Right Maintenance Option for Your Home
Not sure when your garage door was last inspected? You don’t need that answer before reaching out.
Tell us what you’ve noticed and how many doors you have. Mention previous A1 repairs and share any concerns about costs or coverage.
Ask us to compare a one-time tune-up with the Worry Free Club. We’ll discuss the inspection, membership benefits, pricing, and scheduling requirements.
You don’t need to know every part name or choose a plan first. Bring your questions, including the ones that feel too small to ask.
Contact A1 Garage Door Service to discuss maintenance or schedule a visit. Call or book online, whichever works better for you.
Let’s find a practical next step for your home and budget.
Frequently Asked Questions About A1’s Worry Free Club
Does One Membership Cover Two Homes or Follow Me When I Move?
No. One membership covers a single property, not every home you own. A Phoenix home and a Prescott home need separate memberships.
Membership does not automatically follow you when moving. Contact A1 about establishing coverage at your new address.
Can I Schedule My Included Tune-Up Immediately After Joining?
It depends on your payment plan. Monthly members must complete ten consecutive payments before scheduling the included tune-up.
Annual members can schedule within their prepaid year. Confirm your eligibility and appointment availability before purchasing a plan for immediate maintenance. Learn about A1 Garage Door Service’s Worry-Free Club HERE.
Can a Virtual Technician Fix Every Garage Door Problem?
No. Phone support can help with issues suitable for remote troubleshooting. A technician can guide you through appropriate steps.
Some problems still require someone at your home. When phone support isn’t enough, an on-site visit may be needed.
Are Small Safety-Sensor Adjustments Always Free for Members?
Not automatically. I’ve waived charges for some minor sensor adjustments.
Those were individual service decisions, not a promise of free adjustments for everyone. Ask what charges apply before approving a visit or repair.
