Easy to make an appointment and the tech Roger Krause came on a Sunday. He contacted me that morning as to ETA. He arrived and was friendly and courteous. He explained everything well and went over options. He was knowledgable and not pushy. The wrap-up included photos and analysis of the door system. The whole process was very professional, non intimidating and i felt it was fairly priced. I would recommend Roger and A1!

He was very nice to work with. He was very knowledgeable on your product. He also moved the windows panel in my dood to where I wanted them.He came here today from Milwaukee 80 miles to finish this job but it still isn't finished. He brought some door trim but didn't bring a new panel that was dented by the manufacturer and he was also suppose to replace my springs for better ones, and wasn't done either. He said I would be contacted to give me a date I can expect your company to finish the job.

My technician 'Jacob' was simply outstanding. He was cheerful, called me by my name and very well spoken. He was able to walk me through the repairs necessary and offered fair pricing options. He kept me updated on the repair he was doing until the end. I am especially impressed with the company presentation as well. Jacob arrived in a fully stocked fleet vehicle. While working, Jacob needed to move some of the things in the garage, and when done, he put them right back in the exact spot. All debris was carefully discarded from the repair and nothing was left behind. Respect for my property was top notch. Jacob is a very versed and knowledgeable technician. This is the 1st time I’ve used A1 Garage Door and I am very pleased with their service, from the first phone call to the technician arriving at my door. Roger called when he about 20 minutes out to let me know he was on the way. He was very thorough in his explanation of my garage door situation and was able to fix the problem right on the spot. John G was kind, considerate, thorough & efficient. He was patient with the questions our children asked and gave me the run down on the door and how to keep it working well. He also noticed some minor issues & immediately started a warranty claim. We would highly recommend John G & because of him, your company in the future!Update: Just over a month after this costly install, our garage door is pulling away from the ceiling. It is Sunday at 10am and when I called for resolution, they cannot get anyone here until tomorrow, Monday, between 1 & 6! I have children 9, 6 and 4 and this is a REAL hazard and concern for me. The whole reason we chose A1 was their 24 hour service and their safety promises. I'm appalled!Update: Carlos came out Monday early afternoon and reattached our garage door to the ceiling. He said the original installer was 'close' but hadn't followed A1 policy in 2 ways and said he corrected both. He assured me that this issue hadn't caused any damage to our door and that the original installer was no longer with their company. I do appreciate his help and hope that we have no further issues, but time will tell.Our original service tech, Jacob, reached out to me this morning after seeing my negative review to be sure that the issue had been resolved and to see if he could help in any way. This is what is really restoring my faith in this company. He assured me they would typically have had someone right out and this was not typical of A1, which I believe. Jacob came right out when we had our original issue and did a great job getting us back up and running so it would be safe for us and our kids. He also walked us through the cost benefit of replacing the door vs just the faulty parts that night and helped us order replacement doors even though it was quite late by this time. Jacob has great integrity and I really appreciate that in a company - thank you , Jacob!

I am very happy with the final product and the expertise of Jacob (installer). He installed a garage door opener in a challenging location and crushed it! Jacob also identified other moving parts that needed to be replaced with a detailed rationale to the "why?" Replacement parts seemed to me to be of high quality and sometimes there where multiples to choose from. Which, Jacob was thoroughly knowledgeable.Lastly, thanks A1 for getting my work request appointment in a weeks time and for honoring the military/medical/first responders with a discount!

When we purchased our home, we had no idea that our garage door system had been neglected for years. The system made that known in an emphatic way, and when Tony from A1 arrived, it had ceased to function. Installer, Matt S, was very nice and knowledgeable. The product sold was quality and put in well but very pricey. Had minor damage to the ceiling drywall that we reached a fair settlement on but I wasn't overly impressed with how the person I spoke to (not the installer) minimized it rather than taking an apologetic approach.If you're looking for a quality job that you can be confident in and aren't afraid to spend a little extra for the piece of mind, I'd definitely recommend.

10/4Tony was very good explaining what needed to be done. Also gave us the options of fixing the old rusty door or a new door. We chose the new door. They had one in the warehouse and an opening for tomorrow. Also like getting the text ahead with the name and photo of the service man coming to our home. Jacob was professional, knowledgable, and simply a great guy. Any questions I had, he had answers for me and was without any hesitation. So, it wasn't someone trying to “know what they’re doing.” I had an old spring system and the loud, screeching noise and door wobble got to be unbearable. Jacob recommended we replace the old spring system with a traditional torsion spring system and what a difference it made! I’m a very handy person but garage door springs are something I never mess with. I definitely recommend A1 Garage Door Service to anyone in need of any garage door service!

Tony was amazing! He showed up on the time frame I was given. Tony was professional and courteous when looking at the issue we were having with our garage door; he even waited while I called my husband and re-explained everything to him over speaker phone so we could make an informed decision. Roger Krause exemplified amazing customer service. My wife’s car was stuck in the garage for couple days because of the garage spring that snapped in half. Roger came and fixed it in timely manner he was very professional. I’ve read reviews on how some people pressure you to buy more products and get everything fixed that is not necessary. Roger was not one of them guys. Yes he recognized and advised us about some stuff that needed to be fixed but he never pressured us to get it fixed right away. I would highly recommend A1 garage.

Tony the technician was very good. He was able to get my garage door working. The downside has nothing to do with him. When I scheduled I told the dispatcher it was a 12-14’tall door at my homes extra garage. They sent the tech out without any ladder. He used mine and on my trailer to get him up higher and more comfortable. I am happy he was able to rerun the cables and reset the tension on the springs. The down side was the pricing. $450 in labor for 1.5 hours of work using some of my things (ladder and trailer). When I called and asked about it after he was done and left I was told because it was a “commercial door”. This was up front with the dispatcher of the height and at a residence. Sending the tech out without the right stuff disappointing. Tony almost had to reschedule but was able to get it done while there. Again I appreciated his work to get it done while there. I was told this door does not follow their typical hourly rate. $300 a hour rate is ridiculous for this door. Again Tony great job, dispatching was unprepared for the job.

Roger was the tech who came today and was great. I was impresses with his professionalism and how well he explained all the things that he did. Had a great experience with my technician Roger!! He was very thorough and did a great job. I will say though that I should have gotten a few quotes. It’s more expensive than I wanted to pay at almost $1000. He was very great though and it isn’t his fault.

Great and fast experience. Called and got ahold of someone quickly who was very polite and was able to get someone to come out to take a look at our door within an hour. The technician, Roger, arrived earlier than even estimated and was incredibly polite and helpful. Asked good questions to narrow down a solution for our repair and didn’t push stuff that wasn’t needed. Very professional and was able to get our garage door working again in no time.
